A photo can be a useful starting point for a custom gift. It might show a finished piece you like, or simply a mix of colors you would love to bring into your home. The useful next step is to explain what you want us to take from that image.

You do not need a finished design brief. A clear reference, an available model and size, and a few specific color notes give your request a practical starting point.
Tell us whether you like the look or the colors
If your reference shows a finished fluid art piece, tell us which parts you like: the overall color balance, the contrast, or a detail you want us to consider. On Fendooy's reference-based custom art page, this direction is described as “Recreate this look.”
If you mainly like the colors in a picture, use “Use these colors.” Your image can guide a new fluid design on your selected model. Describe the shades you want to emphasize and any colors you would prefer us to avoid.
Fluid patterns develop as the piece is made, so individual patterns and fine details vary. A reference communicates your direction; it should not be treated as a promise that every swirl will match a photograph exactly.
Choose your starting point
You have a finished look or a reference image
Start with custom fluid art from photos and design references. Choose an available model and size, add your reference image, and explain whether you want its overall look or its colors to guide the piece.
You want to start with the model and a color idea
Use Customize Your Fluid Models. Choose from the available model and size options, then describe your preferred colors in Order notes. You can attach an image for inspiration here as well.
Both fluid art pages provide a reference-image upload and Order notes. Choose the starting point that best fits the idea you already have, then review the option you actually select.
You want a hand-painted pattern or illustration
Visit custom hand-painted models and discuss the pattern before purchasing. This page asks customers to contact Fendooy first; the quote depends on the difficulty of the requested work. The displayed past works are style references, rather than a claim that each example is a finished item ready to ship.
A hand-painted custom artwork is also a different purchase from an original factory collectible sold as a confirmed design. Keep the type of work clear when describing what you want.
Write a short, useful request
For a fluid art request, include the model and size you have selected, the direction you want to take from your image, and your main color preferences. If the piece is for an occasion, include the destination country and the date you need to plan around.
A request might read:
I'd like a 13-inch Fluid Bear using the colors in my reference image. Please emphasize cream and blue and avoid red. The overall color balance matters most to me. This is a gift for delivery to the United States; please confirm the available timing before I order.
This is an example of a clear request, rather than a quoted or accepted order. Replace the details with your own choices. For hand-painted work, describe the pattern or illustration and discuss the scope and quote first.
Keep different designs separate
If you are ordering different designs, add them separately so each item has its own reference and notes. Before checking out, review the selected model, size, reference and notes for each item in the cart. A reference meant for one gift should be easy to distinguish from the instructions for another.
You can also make priorities clear in a single sentence: “The blue-and-cream palette matters more to me than the exact placement of the pattern.” That is more useful than leaving us to guess which part of the image matters most to you.
Plan around the right delivery estimate
For standard 33 cm (13-inch) Fluid Bears delivered to the United States, Fendooy's current estimate is 12–15 business days from the order date, including production and shipping. Actual timing can vary.
An 80 cm bear requires a separate delivery estimate before ordering. Do not apply the standard 33 cm estimate to a different model, size or hand-painted commission. If you have a fixed gift date, discuss it before placing the order.
When you are ready, choose your reference-based fluid art starting point or model-and-color starting point. A clear reference and a few specific notes help explain the piece you have in mind.
